When looking for the best floor standing pedestal fan, we came across this Futura model and couldn’t wait to test it out. We were very impressed after using it for a while and had no hesitation in making it the best 16.5” oscillating fan.
When we first received our fan, we had to assemble it before we were able to test it out properly. Fortunately, the assembly process was very easy and didn’t take us very long at all. Once we had it all put together we were immediately struck by how stylish the fan is.
One of the design features that we really liked is that this fan has a telescopic stand so that you can make sure that you have it at the perfect height for your needs. We tested out all of the speeds and we have to say that all of them are very powerful, so if you only want to cool a small room then this might be too much.
One feature that we really liked with this fan is the 7.5 hour timer. We found this very helpful for setting the optimum cooling schedule so that the room was at the perfect temperature at all times. We were highly impressed with this floor standing pedestal fan and would not hesitate to recommend it to everyone.

Schallen 18” Floor Standing Pedestal Fan ReviewThe next model on our list is the Schallen 18” Floor Standing Pedestal Fan. We wanted to see what this fan had to offer because it was a little bigger than the previous model and we have decided to list this one as our best 18” oscillating fan. Read on for our thoughts.
The first thing that we liked about the Schallen pedestal fan is that the assembly process is incredibly simple. We had everything put together and ready to test within around twenty minutes. Once we had everything assembled, the first thing that we noticed was how heavy the base was. This means that there is very little risk of the fan tipping.
In terms of features, the main thing that stood out for us was the range of oscillation. At 360 degrees, we found that it spread cool air around the room incredibly quickly, making it perfect for larger spaces. There are three wind speed settings and all three of them are very powerful. However, it is worth noting that the highest speed setting is quite noisy.
The only thing that we didn’t like about this pedestal fan is the fact that it doesn’t come with a remote control which is a shame. Despite this, we would definitely recommend this fan if you have a large room that needs cooling.

Going smaller again, the fan that we have chosen as the best 12” oscillating fan is the Sealey Pedestal Fan. There were a lot of things that we really liked about this one. First of all, we felt that the design was very modern. In a black colour, it looks very stylish and matches most décor.
Once we had assembled the fan, we were able to take a proper look at the different settings. The first thing that we really liked was the fact that you are able to set this fan to three different heights, so it can be used as a tall fan, pedestal fan, or even a desk fan, making it very versatile.
This model has 180 degree oscillation which allowed us to easily cool a small to medium room. However, if you are trying to cool a larger room then you might want something a little bigger. All three of the wind speeds on this one are very powerful which surprised us given the 45w motor.
The only downside to this fan is that it is very noisy, even on the lowest speed setting. This probably wouldn’t be an issue around the home, but if you are looking for an office fan then it could be distracting. We were really impressed with this fan from Sealey and would certainly recommend it.

Last on our list of the best floor standing pedestal fans today is the Elpine Desk Fan. This one is only 9” so it is perfect for using on your desk. The main thing that caught our attention with this one is how affordable it is. As well as this, we were quite impressed by how easy it is to use.
Assembling the fan out of the box is very easy. It was simply a matter of attaching the blades and the protective mesh and we were ready to go. It is important to remember that this is a very basic fan. It only has two speeds but they are both quite powerful.
The only real issue that we had with this fan is that it is very noisy, so it might be too distracting to use in the office which is a shame considering that is the main purpose. However, for price alone we would definitely recommend this fan from Elpine.
