The delivery arrived the very next day after ordering. The box is branded and indicates what is inside.
Right out of the box, the fan feels well built and high quality. Secured with polystyrene and includes the instructions and remote in a separate baggy.
With traditional towerfans, you have to install the feet/base and fiddle around with screws. With The Vortex, none of that messing around. It is literally ready to go - out of the box!
For reviewing the Vortex Fan, I used 10 sets of criteria;
Let's get into each of them in detail.
I love the design of this product. The rectangular fan along with the rounded base make for an aesthetically pleasing finish.
It catches the attention of people in the room very nicely.
So I would give it a 9/10
This is where the real meat is. It looks good, but how does it perform?
With 10 speed settings, a sway, a heat setting and the HEPA filter. It certainly ticks all of the boxes we need it to.
The speed settings allow you to adjust to your liking, from the softest breeze to a cooling wind at number 10 (not Downing St :D) - the performance is certainly met.
Performance score is a certain 10/10
As I said in the video - while I should have looked at the instructions. I didn't. I am usually the type of person to dive in!
That said, I would still give the ease-of-use a 10/10.
The remote buttons are very self-explanatory. It is very easy to set up (you just plug it in!).
No messing around with screw drivers and it just works!
The timer can be set from an hour all the way upto 9 hours quite easily using the remote.
10/10 without a doubt.
The noise is actually very low given that I had it at the maximum speed setting of 10. The noise wasn't as much as I would have expected and still had that nice breeze!
The heat setting also doesn't add any extra noise, so a win there too!
For the noise, a 10/10
The fan is very well built. This is one of the first things you notice when removing it from its packaging.
It is made from solid plastic and the build quality shows.
Durability would be a 9/10.
It is a bladeless fan, so it certainly is not going to cause harm as a normal fan would. With most normal fans, the fingers of little children can easily be put into harms way.
This is the reason why many people now opt for the bladeless option.
The same can be said for a traditional fan heater, it can cause hazzards if not used safely.
With the bladless fan/heater - the risk is almost non-existant.
10/10 for safety.
With its weight of just over 5kg, it is extremely easy to lift and carry from room to room.
The shape of the fan makes it easy to grip and safely move around where needed.
9/10.
Once in its place, the Vortex Air is very stable. It has rubber feet so it isn't going to slip and slide.
With gentle knocks it remains in place.
9/10 for stability.
This is a high quality product. Given that some of the competitors of The Vortex Air are currently selling for double the price, I would say the value for money is a 10/10 - no brainer!
Overall, I am very pleased with the Vortex Air.
It has ticked all of my criteria above and it has done it very well.
