LIVIVO are a company known for several products, including fire pits. However, some of their more popular products include tower fans and many other electronic goods. Among them are their 40" and 47" Titanium Digital Tower Fans.
What sets LIVIVO apart from the competition? On top of multiple speed settings for oscillation, the two products we'll be looking at today can even be remotely controlled.
Of course, choosing what tower fan is right for you is hard enough. However when a well reviewed and trusted company offers multiple models, it can also make an already difficult decision even harder.
With the summer heat becoming more intense, and recurrent heat waves becoming more common place in the United Kingdom, there is no better time to be looking out for a great way to cool off.
If paddling pools and ice machines aren't your style, then we'll be looking at both the LIVIVO 40 inch and 47 inch tower fans. We'll be comparing both against one another, while keeping to a fair review of how good these products are compared to other digital fans.
Both LIVIVO fans come with a remote control, really putting the consumer experience above all else when it comes to relaxing. You can sit pretty and enjoy the cool air, and not have to worry about interrupting your life to change the settings.
Say you're in the middle of an online work meeting and need to up the airflow, well now all you need is to press a button and the problem will fix itself. No need to stop what you're doing, thanks to a handy little remote control.
LIVIVO fans are also quite high end products, boasting more than just the multiple speed settings of your standard fan. In addition to several speed settings, you can even change the air pattern as well!
One air pattern may be better pointed directly at you, keeping you cool much like a normal desktop fan might do. Alternatively, other air patterns can fill an entire room with cool air, acting like a ceiling fan.
This is great if you're sharing a room or work space with multiple people. Another cool feature, pun intended, for cooling a whole room are the oscillation settings. Allowing the fan to rotate and cover multiple people at once.
Both fan sizes come with extra modes, called Natural and Night mode. When put onto Natural, the fan will automatically fluctuate between the different speeds and air patterns to emulate real wind patterns.
This is great for an open space, keeping your windows open to let your room stay fresh and natural. Night mode is also a very unique feature.
In Night mode, the fan will begin at whatever settings and preferences you choose. Then, over an extended period of time, it will decrease in intensity and speed. Perfect for those warm summer nights.
LIVIVO fans also have a very small base compared to most modern tower fans, helping you not crowd a large area with a wide foot base.
This makes LIVIVO fans ideal for small spaces like tight bedrooms or a home office, and the fans remain stable despite the smaller base of support.
The main issue with a LIVIVO fan, as will many premium fan products, is the price. The 40 inch model has a more reasonabale price tag, coming just below £60. However the 47 inch model has a price markup of £90.
This can seem excessive for a tower fan, but LIVIVO products are top end tower fans and will do more than just keep you cool.
Another issue we encountered when buying both fans for review, was the manual assembly required. Some or all of the screws for the base tended to be ill fitting, leaving the base unstable and causing it to make a rattling noise.
The problem is easily fixed by getting larger screws from a local hardware or DIY store, however it's not a problem that should really exist. Even if the small footbase is convenient and compact.
With a Trustpilot score of 4.2, LIVIVO are a trusted brand when it comes to tower fans. However, our problems with manual assembly seem to be shared with many others who have bought both models.
In addition, some people have had remote control issues. This mostly occurs in the cheaper, 40 inch model and is significantly less rare in the 47 inch version.
Finally, the timer settings also have some issues on the 40", with many users reporting that it would go off on its own. Others say that it isn't clear how to disable this feature.
