Summer is hotting up in most parts of the UK. With homes not built for this weather and the majority of us without air conditioners, we turn to fans.
There are a lot of mediocre and cheap tower fans in the supermarkets, and there are also fans at the extreme high end of the scale.
Sat in a happy medium place, is the CTF-100 and CTF-200 Tower Fans by Climatik.
Climatik are based up in the northern part of the UK and specialise in high quality fans (as well as other products).
Here's our video reviews;
Onto the review of the CTF-100 and CTF-200 fans..
Right out of the box, the fans feel very well built and high quality.
The base needs assembling and it is a case of putting together two plates, with four screws. Couldn't be easier!
Once up and running, you will be met with a breeze of pleasant air.
The design is pleasant to look at, and it stands up solid.
One of the unique aspects of the fans is that the oscillation is internal. This means the entire fan remains stationary while the internal part of it moves (which you'll see on the video).
Both fans perform very well.
The CTF-100 has 3 fan speeds on the manual mode and the CTF-200 has 6 speeds.
The CTF-200 being taller has more coverage as well, when compared to the CTF-100.
Both fans are very easy to use. The remote control is pretty self-explanatory - instructions are included should you need them.
Both fans have inbuilt timer settings up to 7 hours.
I used to have the timer function on at night to turn itself off after 4 hours. However, since using the CTF fans, I just put it on sleep mode and let it do the rest.
The CTF-100 and 200 are both quiet when it comes to excessive "fan" noise, when considering the amount of breeze.
I have had loud tower fans which hardly throw any breeze, so the Climatik range is, quite literally; a breath of fresh air.
Extremely durable. Both fans boast an internal oscillation feature. This means the entire fan is static.
The only moving part is the internal section. This is the part that throws the cool breeze out.
It is because of this internal oscillation, that the fan is extremely durable. It is even hard to give it a wobble.
When you have kids in the house, running around - like I do. This feature is essential.
As with any fan, or electrical device - there is always an element of risk.
That said, both fans, the CTF-100 and 200 feel very safe. Even my 3 year old cannot get his little fingers inside the fan area. The grill which covers the fan has very thin gaps.
The CTF-100 and CTF-200 have carry handles and are very easy to move from one room to another, or up and down the stairs.
As above, the fan is extremely stable and almost hard to knock over. This is a sign of a good quality build.
Given both fans are extremely well made, and the quality shines once you have it in your home, I would say the value for money is very good.
You can get cheaper tower fans at your local Lidl, or Tesco's. However, they will be exactly that; cheap.
The Climatik fans are very well built, have features which make them head and shoulders above the competition. The breeze to noise level is also very good.
Overall, I highly recommend the CTF fans, in particular the CTF-200. This is a very good fan at the mid-range level, in terms of price.
The product quality and build is very good and the service from Climatik has been great.
